The equation of perception
My grandmother had many wise words to impart, one in particular that has stuck with me through the
darkest of times. "Step back," she would say. By this, she meant I should step away from the immediate
terrain and look at the whole picture—distancing myself from the distractions and influences that keep
us imprisoned in a manufactured reality.
Reality is inherently fragile, a subjective tapestry woven differently by each individual based purely
on their perception of circumstance. When this natural vulnerability is combined with a weaponised
narrative, the boundaries of truth become dangerously blurred and confusing. The stark simplicity of the
natural world is the antidote to the complexities of civilisation. Out there, one is granted an unbiased
perspective, with thoughts comforted by the soothing weight of silence and set free to contemplate the
intricate geometry of existence. For our lives are merely a speck—a single fibre within a lone strand of
a much greater whole.
These are my sagas; these are my unvarnished reflections. This journal is not a broadcast, nor is it a
repository for casual commentary. If these chapters challenge your perception or move you to speak, you
are invited to join the dialogue. Know that there is no automated machinery harvesting your words or
instantly pasting them to a digital wall. Every message is received in silence, read with human intent,
and deeply considered. Before any final perspective is published here, we may well enter into a private
discussion—treating your thoughts with the same time and patience that the tracker gives to the trail.
Should you wish for our exchange to remain strictly confidential, simply indicate your intent; your
words will be held in the absolute sanctity of a private dialogue, completely away from the public gaze.
